Pizza Moments

When Kevin and I were engaged, he told me that he wanted to take me out every weekend for a date. He wants to keep "dating" me. I thought that was by far the cutest thing! So for the past three months (almost 4 next week!) he has taken me on a date. We had two dates this past week, one on Friday and one on Saturday.

Now, there are two things that I love about a date: being close and talking. Saturday we went out to the Scottsdale Mall and walked around for a few hours and bought some clothes. I did enjoy that date a lot! I mean, I got myself clothes. Duhh I'm gonna be happy! But Friday's date was by far the best date I've been on with my husband.

I'm not usually home on Friday nights, because I tend to work the night shift. So we decided that we'd have the best date ever. Where did we go? No where. We stayed at the apartment! I made dough for pizza, and Kevin helped me roll it out and top it. Sometimes I think he likes showing off the pizza making skill he got form working at Barro's Pizza... but that's just between you and me :)

Making the pizza brought out some pretty fun conversations (oddly enough), and while it was baking we were able to bond some more. It's fascinating to me that even though we have written for a year, dated for two months, been engaged for six months, and have been married for almost four months, how much I still learn about him, and he learns about me! I love that I'm always learning new things about him. As I digress... Look at how good that pizza looks. I didn't even get to snap an after photo because we ate it so fast! When the pizza came out, he cut the pizza and we snuggled up with our favorite fuzzy blanket, and had a Big Bang Theory marathon. I got him seasons 1-5 for his birthday, and we're already on season 2 and we got it last Sunday... Yes, we are addicted to that show! Please go watch it if you have not seen it already. Thank me later.

Snuggles with my husband, the Big Bang Theory,  and homemade pizza... It couldn't get any better than that. Mid episode, I looked at him and thought, "There's no place I'd rather be than here with Kevin. How lucky am I to be with my best friend forever?" The simplest date was the best date ever.
This date meant so much more to me than going out. I live for the moments like this.
