Loving Winter

Last year Kevin and I were able to spend Christmas together, but this time it was so much different!  We are married this year (it still feels exciting to say and type that I'm married!)

Christmas Eve, we went over to his brother's house and made gingerbread houses. It was so fun! I had never made a gingerbread house before, so this was extremely fun. We had three judges come over (his mom, dad and sister) and sadly... we lost. Next year, it's on! And we're looking into building a two story gingerbread house!

Our {special} nativity scene...

Who the real winner should have been!

The real winner... (Amber& Trey, we're gonna get you next year!)

Us spreading Christmas cheer :)

My big gift to Kevin was his favorite team's football jersey with his favorite player on the back! If you didn't notice from the picture of us with our gingerbread house, it's the Ravens! He's doing his cute happy dance in this picture :)

The blue bag sat underneath the tree for two weeks... And not once did I try and open the box! Notice how I said the box, I totally peeked into the bag and held the box in my hand, but I dared not open it until Christmas! My big present is now my favorite piece of jewelery :)

Enough about presents and gingerbread houses, the birth of Christ is the reason for the season. I teach CTR 7, and the spirit that they have and the unwavering belief that Christ exists is such a great example to me. I have been humbled these past few months by being in their presence. They are the teachers to me, and continually teach me how close children are to God, and how close I should be.

I now truly do know the meaning of the Matthew 18:3
". . .Verily I say unto you, except ye be converted, and become as little children,  ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven."

I'm so grateful for all that I have been blessed with this year.

Bring on 2014.
